Nutrition is critical to overall child development. It impacts social, emotional, and physical development. This topic is close to the heart of this month’s guest speaker, Jamie Bonczyk.
Jamie obtained her M.A. from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She has worked in diverse early childhood program models in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Illinois including for-profit, Head Start, and State funded Pre-K. She teaches Tipping the Scales, The Power of Food: What Every Provider Should Know, and I am Moving, I am Learning for Think Small and Eager-to-Learn. Jamie holds certificates to teach The Adventures of Super Stretch and Baby/Caregiver bonding yoga classes. Most recently, Ms. Bonczyk became a Katie Williams CARE (Child Care Advocates Ready to Emerge) fellow. Amidst all of this, she feels her most important role is that of mother to her daughter, Sylviana.
