With summer vacation just around the corner, what do you need to know about keeping your children safe in cars, taxis, campers and RVs?

Traffic accidents remain the leading cause of death among children under 14, according to the Centers for Disease Control, but many of those deaths (and nonfatal injuries as well) are preventable if we follow the law and best practice guidelines for passenger safety. In this informative discussion with Heather Darby from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Marti & Erin draw out all you need to know about keeping your children as safe as can be. You are likely to be surprised by some of what you hear, especially about the relative safety of car seats of different prices.
