Temporary Full-time Position in Licensed Family Child Care Home
Position would run from approximately Monday, August 27th, 2012 until December 23rd, 2012. There may be an option for occasional days in January – May 2013.
Hours – to be determined (within the 7:00am – 5:00pm range) Mostly full-time (45 hours per week), with occasional shorter weeks
Rate of Pay – $9.00 an hour
Qualifications needed:
- Must have experience working with children
- Must be reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Must be current on Infant/Child CPR (within the last 3 years)
- Must be current on Infant/Child First Aid (within the last 3 years)
- Must have completed SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome trainings with the last 5 years
- Must submit and successfully complete background check (cost paid by me)
- Must attend at least one Dakota County Licensing training (I will help set up the required training)
- Must complete interview with Dakota County Social Services Child Care Licensing worker (they will schedule with you)
- Must have physical by a physician (your responsibility)
Job Duties:
- Care for up to 10 children in licensed child care home – currently; ages 6 mos to 6 years old
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to child care
- Communicate with parents through use of talking, emailing, newsletter and/or calendars
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks to the children
- Keep toys and equipment safe and sanitized
Other Information:
This position takes place in my licensed child care home. I will be student teaching in an elementary school next fall, so I would like to find someone to run my child care while I am gone. I plan to care for the children myself on days that I don’t have to be at the school – although these may be minimal.
I would like to fill position as soon as possible so that we may use the time period between May and August getting to know you and allowing you to get to know the children and my setup. (I am flexible with these hours and l will be paying the hourly rate during these times.)
