Each year the ECYD students travel to Menomonie, Wisconsin to participate in the University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Early Childhood Conference. This year the conference will be held on April 26-28. The ECYD students from DCTC will be attending on Friday, April 27th.

Student senate has provided the funds for a bus, so we are able to keep the cost of participation down to the $40.00 registration fee. This fee includes lunch.

This conference is a great opportunity for students to not only visit the lovely Stout campus, but also to visit many venders of early childhood products/services and take in some great workshops and seminars too!

ECYD students that are interested in attending the conference with DCTC MUST ride the bus. Registration forms are available in the classroom and online. If you are a DCTC student, attending the conference with us, do NOT submit your form online! All registration forms are due to Dawn Braa by March 1, along with your check (made out to DCTC) or credit card information. Early bird registration (without money) is due by Feb. 23rd to qualify for registration discount. Early bird qualifiers will be contacted as to the actual fee due after the 23rd. All student registration forms will be sent to UW-Stout from DCTC. You can talk to any of the students that went last year, they will tell you what a great time they had.

Those students needing participation points for Organizational Leadership may use this opportunity. Summer Practicum students- project option as well. Or, you may use it for extra credit points!
