I really liked the talk about keyboards and when to teach typing. In my classroom and almost all centers in my company we have computers in the preschool (ages3-5) rooms. the computers haveing games that use only the mouse. I think it’s ok to expose them to the computer. I haveing been working with pres-k for 14yrs and I have found that there will always be kids who don’t know how to use the mouse but they have peers that are willing to help them figure it out. I also have kids that really know how to use the mouse and use the keyboard.
I agree with you about exposing them to computers at that age and also with working together with peers. Excellent comments!
