Well not yet, but we’re getting closer…I hope! Take a look at this neat idea for wire flowers. (Scroll to the top of the site if it doesn’t automatically take you there) It will be blooming in your classroom in no time at all with this activity!

The activity uses Fun Wire which can usually be found at art/jewelry stores or online. You’ll notice that this blogger stated that the project began with the children looking through a wildflower field guide. I think this is an important step. The children choose a design to replicate or use as inspiration – and the results will be more realistic if they have something to look at. The next step was to draw the flower with pencil and then create it using the wire.

As an alternative, you could provide the children with clay and Fun Wire. They could use the items around the room for their inspiration of what to create.
