Bring the family to TECH FEST 2010. This free event features dozens of amazing exhibits, shows, demonstrations, and hands-on activities about engineering.
At Tech Fest you can:
- Build a bridge out of candy,
- Stick your hands into goopy slime
- Watch an incredible Chemistry Show from the University of Minnesota Chemistry Department Outreach Department
- Control the traffic using a video game

- Launch a rocket
- Explore the skies with a show from the Minnesota Planetarium
- Construct a car out of household supplies
- See unique robots doing amazing things
- Have fun while exploring the world around us!
Tech Fest is The Works’ celebration of National Engineers Week. It is produced in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology.
Show Schedule
The Minnesota Planetarium will have screen shows at 9:30, 10:00, 11:15, 11:45,
1:15, 1:45, 3:15, 3:45, and 4:15
The University of Minnesota Chemistry Show will be at 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30 Please plan to arrive early for both shows. Seating is limited.
