 You’ve probably seen your share of waiting rooms, especially if you have a young child. Many minor illnesses are caused by viruses. Keep in mind that anitbiotics are NOT always needed. Did you know that antibiotics do not help fight viruses? It’s true…they can actually be harmful to give when they are not needed. If the child is given antibiotics too often, they can develop what’s known as antibiotic resistance. So what should you do? Work with your doctor to find the best solution.
