Greetings, Campus Community!

This is an exciting time as we move toward the final stages of a major milestone for our institution: choosing a new name for our merged college. Your voice is crucial to this process, and we need your input to help us create a shared and bold future.

The Branding Steering Committee, Bargaining Unit Leaders, and Cabinet have worked alongside our consultant, Object, to narrow down a list of approximately 80 name ideas to six final options. The choices you will see in the survey reflect key guidelines that came from our earlier discovery phase, which included campus-wide surveys and focus groups.

These guidelines determined that the new name should be fresh and should not include the words “community” or “technical.” Additionally, a requirement from Minnesota State dictates that the new name must contain the words “Minnesota,” “State,” or “Minnesota State.”
