ACTION NEEDED: Enroll into Multi-Factor Authentication!
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) requires users to sign-in using more than one verification method, which helps keep you and the college safe by preventing cybercriminals from gaining access to personal, restricted and confidential information.
Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MinnState) and Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is implementing MFA for Office 365 accounts, which verifies an individual’s identity through their StarID username/password combination, and device(s) they select (e.g., their mobile phone and/or another phone number).
Please enroll in multi-factor authentication as soon as possible, but no later than May 16, 2022. After that date, you will need to be MFA-enrolled to access college-hosted Office 365 services, including email, OneDrive, and e-services (your grades).
The college will automatically enroll students with last name starting with A-M on Monday, May 2, 2022 and students with last name starting with N-Z on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Additional resources may be found at DCTC MFA Support.
