Polishing Projects
So here are the items we’re French Polishing.
We start in the upper left – two smallish boards. These are to get us started. We practice the technique and then practice more. And more.
From there we go down to the big table leaf at the bottom. You need to be able to French Polish all sizes!
The clock is there so we can get used to polishing unique items. Nooks and crannies will not get the best of this class.
And lastly, the middle piece is there so we can start a polishing project from the very beginning – all the other pieces are inherited from previous classes.
And then, when entering the shop the next morning, we find this:
I think it’s the same person who took a screw driver to our boards and a hammer to our doors in Spot Repair. Just a guess. Although I imagine Mitch having a bit of a smile when he does this, he does it for the sake of learning! (That’s what I believe, anyway!) After all, scratches are likely to happen on a tabletop. And you better know how to fix them!
