Knights Table

The cafeteria at DCTC is called the Knights’ Table. Did you know that we have a new vendor this year? It’s Lancer Hospitality and they just re-opened this week!

HOURS 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

*I have eaten their twice already and so far, the food is pretty tastey ;) Check out the menu format! What other changes will you notice?

Photo Opportunity

DCTC has a professional photographer coming to campus tomorrow (Tues) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to photograph students for promotional materials. If you are interested in taking part in this fun and casual opportunity, stop by room 2-142 anytime throughout the day. The day’s schedule will be posted and there will be refreshments available.

Student Senate Meeting

TOMORROW (August 31st) is the first Student Senate meeting of the year. All students are welcome! Things to be discussed include activities to have this year, voter registration, and an overview of the Senate committees to participate on. Come and bring a friend!

NEW Activity Card

We have updated our activity card! If you were a student last semester (or prior) please delete/throw away any old Activity Card forms that you may have.

The new Activity Card for assignments/projects can be found on this site under PROGRAM, FORMS. It’s also in the handbook (physical copy).

DCTC Class Schedule Changes

Today – Friday, August 27 @ 4pm is the deadline to drop courses, that began this week, without financial responsibility.

Make schedule changes via e-services or in Student Services on-campus.

Is it YOU?

THE DEPUTY WILL BE PATROLLING THE VISITOR LOT AT DCTC. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT MANY STUDENTS ARE PARKING UP THERE. IS IT YOU?

YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR VEHICLE AND GET A NEW RED STICKER AND PARK IN THE EAST AND WEST PARKING LOTS ONLY.

A few posts back, I posted about getting a new parking permit. Be sure to get one soon! YOU DON’T WANT A TICKET.

DCTC Night at Canterbury Park

Gather up your friends and family and head out to Canterbury Park TONIGHT, Thursday, August 26, for DCTC Night at the Races.

DCTC is sponsoring one of the races, and a whole slug of students will be digging through straw for a shot at a $500 scholarship. First post is at 7 p.m. A few people have asked about special seating…there is not reserved seating, but we recommend carpooling with your friends, or at least getting together an entourage for your arrival and doing your best to find seats together.

If you choose to attend, please wear DCTC apparel so we can find people in the crowd more easily!

The forecast looks excellent – so make a point of enjoying this night arranged especially for you!

Admission is FREE!

Copy and Print off this post (one copy for each person you want to bring – family, friends, etc.) and take it to the Information Booth on the first floor of Canterbury to get a Trifecta of Value coupon good for a free drink, free hotdog and a free program!
