Family seeking an in-home educator for their 2 & 3 year old children. The pay is very competitive with benefits that are negotiable. Pay is based on experience and education. Pay starts at $13.00/hr.
Hours/Days: Monday through Friday, typical hours are 7:30/8:00 a.m. to 5:30/6:00 p.m. However, there may be days the family would need the family to start earlier or stay later, or run errands with advance notice. Looking for someone to start fairly soon and willing to work for a few years with our family.
Qualifications: Dependable, fun, happy, a warm demeanor and a love for children. Someone who enjoys doing activities both indoors and outdoors and is energetic. Infant/Child First Aid and CPR certified or willing to be trained. Dependable and reliable transportation with a clean driving record. Experience providing care for infants and toddlers. Experience developing and implementing lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate.
Description: We are seeking an Early Childhood Educator. The ideal candidate would engage with the child in age appropriate activities, reading and both indoor and outdoor play and exploration. The candidates primary focus is the care, safety and development of our children. We would like you to be able to take charge of planning and executing activities and play that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of our children. We expect our nanny to take the children to the zoo, library story times, community center, museums and other age appropriate outings. While the children are napping, we expect that the candidate will be developing curriculum (planning age-appropriate and stimulating activities) for the children, doing the laundry, and keeping the house tidy. Meal preparation for the children will also be expected, as well as cleanup, documenting the children’s growth and development in their journals and keeping us abreast of the children’s daily activities, well-being and developmental milestones being mastered.
Our children are active and extremely compassionate toward each other and others around them. Our oldest son loves to read books, do art, dance and investigate how things work. We are easygoing and are looking for someone who is dependable, happy, energetic and trustworthy. We are looking for a true addition to our family.
