An opportunity has come up for volunteers…partnering with Amplatz Children’s Hospital and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. You’d be assisting with the Kids Kamp. (see info below) They need volunteers!!

The Kids Kamp is for approximately 75 kids with Type 1 Diabetes and their siblings, ages 5-12, and will be from 8:00am-12:15pm (volunteers arriving at 7:30 and finishing after clean up around 12:45).  The agenda for the day includes “traveling around the USA” where kids will participate in games and activities while using their knowledge of diabetes to help them succeed. Knowledge of type 1 diabetes is a plus but not a requirement to volunteer. There will be one evening meeting prior to the event on Monday, Oct. 29th @ 6pm at the McNamara Alumni Center (details will be sent out separately) and correspondence via email until the event.

Please check your calendars to see if you are available on Oct. 29th (meeting) and Nov. 17th (event). If you are interested in volunteering (and are an ECYD student), please email me right away! If you are interested in volunteering (but are not an ECYD student), please contact Emily Greene emilyjeangreene@gmail.com.

Thank you!
