Lodging Industry Outlook Cautiously Optimistic: Increases Cited
Just last week Hotelnewsnow.com reported anticipation that the U.S. summer travel season will improve for the lodging industry. Today’s report defines the outlook as cautiously optimistic. That is, it’s premature to know if this is a rebound we will sustain. Some of the numbers cited in the report are:
2011 to date “has seen national RevPAR growth of about 9%”.
By the 2nd week of June, 2011, “U.S. hotels saw notable improvements in all major performance metrics.”
