Season’s Over. Blueknights lose to Gogebic 66-57

Final tally 18-12.  Combine that with a 24-7 record last season and our our four returners leave the program with a 42-19 mark. Brayle Winters, Chris McMorris ,Clinton Parker and Steve Solija.  These four guys have set the foundation for DCTC basketball for years to come. They never once used excuses.  They were steady in their resolve to join a new program and put it on the map and  that they did.  I salute you gentlemen.

Thank you.

Regular Season Ends Saturday 2pm Metro All-Stars @Sal

With a 17-11 record going into Saturdays regular season finale we are still trying to find out which team is going to show up.  The 19th ranked team in the nation http://www.njcaa.org/sports_polls.cfm?category=Polls&sid=5&divid=2&slid=2 or the team that lost by 10 (60-50) to the University of St Thomas jv on Tuesday night.  The 19th ranked team has had some big nights the other team not so big.  Needles to say the playoffs start on Wednesday the 27th.  We will be on the road traveling to Ironwood MI for our third game against a very good Gogebic CC. The two teams split during the regular season.  It will be a real test for the Blueknights.

Nice week for the BlueKnights

Perseverance pays off.  Looking at losing four in a row and facing two very good opponents in North Dakota State College of Science and Gogebic we came away with two big wins.Thursday night on the road in Wahpeton ND we beat a 21-4 Wildcat team 65-39.  We held the Cats to 16 points in the second half.

With little time to rest we turned around on Saturday and broke Gogebics 19 game win streak winning 51-48.  Gogebic is currently ranked #16 in the NJCAA poll.
